Stan Hegt is a digital security specialist and professional hacker. He has more than a decade of experience in this area and holds a Master of Science degree in Information Security Technology. Starting as a computer hacker at the age of 10, Stan has acquired deep technology knowledge that he combines with strong professional skills. Stan leads engagements on IT security, with a focus on the financial sector. His areas of expertise are:

• Red teaming, attack simulation and complex penetration tests
• Incident response and malware analysis
• Strategic threat intelligence and threat management
• Security awareness training (from boardroom to IT staff)

Stan regularly provides lectures at several universities and academic institutes on hacking, penetration testing, exploit development and malware. He is also frequently covered by Dutch media and has for example made appearances on the NOS Journaal, VPRO Tegenlicht and KRO Brandpunt. Moreover, Stan has published numerous security advisories on specific software vulnerabilities and security testing methodologies. He has supervised various academic research projects on security topics, such as NFC attacks, EMV security and high-performance password cracking.
